Lab Panels: Order Online, Interpreted the Functional Way

Most people have had labs drawn and been told everything looks "normal." The problem is that "normal" is a statistical range built from a mostly unwell population, not a target for how your body should actually be working.

These panels are built differently. Each one was designed by Monika Rodriguez, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C to answer a specific question (why am I tired? is my thyroid actually converting? what is my real cardiovascular risk?) and each is the complete set of tests needed to answer it, so you aren't sent back for a second draw. You order online, get your blood drawn at a Quest or Labcorp location near you, and your results come back with a written functional interpretation: what's optimal versus merely "in range," what the patterns and ratios show, and what deserves attention.

No appointment is needed to order. Lab panels and testing are available to Texas residents. Written interpretation is provided to Texas residents only; orders placed from outside Texas receive laboratory results without ATX review, and the admin fee is non-refundable.

Why order labs this way?

It costs a fraction of what the same tests cost through insurance. Lab testing is one of the most inflated line items in American healthcare. The same test can be billed at several hundred dollars through an insurance claim and cost a few dollars at cash-pay pricing. Our panels use negotiated cash rates: a complete 16-test foundation panel costs less than many people pay for a single insurance-billed thyroid test.

If you have a high-deductible plan, this is almost always cheaper. If you haven't met your deductible, "covered" labs are billed to you at the insurance-contracted rate, which is typically 5 to 20 times the cash price. For most people with a deductible above $1,500, ordering here costs less than running the same labs through their plan, and nothing gets denied, downcoded, or billed to you six weeks later.

Insurance doesn't cover what actually explains your symptoms. Reverse T3, fasting insulin, ApoB, Lp(a), homocysteine, RBC magnesium, ultrasensitive estradiol: these are the tests that answer the question, and they are routinely denied or never ordered because they don't fit a billing code. Here they're simply part of the panel.

You get a functional interpretation, not just a PDF of flagged numbers. Consumer lab platforms hand you a dashboard and a generic "talk to your doctor." For Texas residents, every panel ordered here comes with a written interpretation against functional-optimal targets: the ratios calculated, the patterns read (iron four-quadrant, thyroid conversion, insulin resistance, immune balance), and the findings explained in plain language so you understand what your results actually mean.

HSA and FSA eligible. Lab testing is a qualified medical expense; use your HSA or FSA card at checkout.

What's included with your order, and what isn't

Every panel price includes three things: the laboratory cost at cash-pay rates, a small Fullscript processing and draw fee, and a $95 non-refundable admin fee that covers the design of the panel itself (the right tests, in the right combination, so the answer is actually in the results) and order coordination. For Texas residents, it also includes a written functional interpretation of what came back.

Texas residents only. Monika Rodriguez is licensed in Texas, and the written interpretation is a clinical service she provides to Texas residents. If you order from outside Texas, your results are released to you directly by the laboratory without ATX review, the admin fee is not refunded, and you should review your results with a clinician licensed in your state.

What it does not include is a treatment plan. An interpretation tells you what your results show. A plan requires knowing you: your history, your symptoms, your medications and supplements, what's been tried, and a conversation about what you want to change. That is a clinical visit, and it's the part that can't be done from numbers alone.

Turning results into a plan

If you want your results turned into a personalized protocol, request a virtual visit. For new patients that's an Initial Visit ($575, 90 to 120 minutes): a full history, timeline, review of your labs and any prior testing, and your orders. Established patients schedule a Results Review ($235, 60 to 90 minutes). A written Comprehensive Plan of Care is available after either visit (from $250).

Many people start with a panel, read the interpretation, and decide from there whether they want to go further. That's exactly how it's meant to work.

How it works

Step 1: Order. Choose your panel or test below and order through our secure Fullscript storefront. You'll create a free account at checkout. Every order from a Texas resident includes a written functional interpretation when results are in.

Step 2 depends on what you ordered:

  • Lab Panels (blood draws). You'll receive a requisition by email. Take it to any Quest Diagnostics location (Labcorp for the CIRS Biotoxin Marker Panel). No appointment is required at most locations, though scheduling one is faster. Most panels require a 10 to 12 hour fast and a morning draw between 7 and 9 am; prep instructions are on each panel. Results in 5 to 10 business days.
  • Specialty Testing (kits). The kit ships directly to your home with collection instructions and a prepaid return label. Most are collected at home (urine, stool, dried urine, breath, or finger-stick blood spot) on your own schedule. A few kits require a blood draw; those include instructions for a mobile phlebotomist or a local draw site. Follow the kit's own prep and timing (for example, DUTCH collections are timed to your cycle, and stool tests may require stopping certain supplements). Results take 2 to 4 weeks depending on the laboratory.

Step 3: Interpretation. You receive your written functional interpretation. If you'd like a plan built from it, request a virtual visit.

Lab panels and specialty testing are offered to Texas residents. Panel and test prices include laboratory cost, processing and draw or shipping fees, and a $95 non-refundable admin fee covering panel design and order coordination and, for Texas residents, a written functional interpretation prepared by Monika Rodriguez, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C using functional medicine targets that differ from conventional laboratory reference ranges. Orders placed from outside Texas receive laboratory results without ATX review; the admin fee is not refunded and results should be reviewed with a clinician licensed in your state. Lab orders are authorized through Fullscript's licensed authorization network. Testing is not billed to insurance. Prices are set by the laboratory and may change. A written interpretation is not a treatment plan; personalized recommendations require a clinical visit. If your results indicate a need for urgent care you will be contacted directly.
